Winter Training 2026–27 — Two Siblings

$425.00

Winter Training 2026–27

$425 total for two siblings

For middle- and high-school runners training for 800m and longer.

Winter registration includes a written December plan with Final Surge access, followed by eight coached weeks January 4–February 28, 2027.

Recovery and December training

After their final fall race, we recommend athletes take 10 days to three weeks off from running to recover, enjoy the holiday season and recharge for spring track. Even athletes who are excited to keep their momentum going should take at least 10 days off.

Once they’ve had that break, December is a chance to gradually rebuild an easy running base, with a written plan and Final Surge access available through winter registration. We won’t meet for group practices in December. We’ll return to coached group training in January, ready to build toward the spring season together.

In January and February, we plan 3–4 practices per week. Monday is confirmed as a regular practice day; the other days will be determined as the schedule comes together. Weekday practices generally run 3:30–5:30 p.m., adjusted with daylight. Locations and practice times will be shared on SportsYou.

Free November training

Join us after the CHSAA season ends through November 21, 2026. November training is free whether or not you register for winter. Weekday practices start at 3:30 p.m. and finish around 5:00–5:15 p.m. A two-mile time trial is planned during November 8–14; the exact day is forthcoming. NXR Southwest on November 21 is optional, with a community-race opportunity for middle school runners.

Optional races and separate costs

Various winter race opportunities, including Colorado indoor events in January and February, are optional. Details are forthcoming. Race entries, travel and UCCS admission are separate. CHSAA's official first track practice is March 1, 2027.

Registration and waiver

This $425 total registration covers two siblings. Complete the separate Athlete 1 and Athlete 2 registration sections. Each athlete needs complete athlete, parent/guardian and emergency contact details, a shirt size, and a separately acknowledged and signed Bears Track Club waiver, including participant and parent/guardian electronic signatures and signing date. Both athletes are registered together as one $425 item in one checkout. For one athlete, choose the separate $225 registration from Winter Registration.

Before checkout, complete athlete, parent/guardian and emergency contact details, choose a shirt size, and read and sign the Bears Track Club waiver. The form requires the waiver agreement, participant and parent/guardian electronic signatures, and signing date. A parent/legal guardian must sign for an athlete under 18. View the waiver separately: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rMN-ps1q0QCpPvGu151D0PWExXHdMJxaub_Sbkw3MFM/edit?usp=sharing.
